We were frustrated. Every time we needed to compress an image, merge a PDF, or format a JSON response, we'd land on a site covered in ads, required us to create an account, uploaded our files to some unknown server, or hit us with a paywall after the second use.
We knew it didn't have to be this way. Modern browsers are incredibly powerful. They can process images, manipulate PDFs, and run complex algorithms entirely locally — no server required.

Every Nurex Tools tool is built using standard browser APIs. When you compress an image, we use the HTML5 Canvas API to redraw it at a lower quality level. When you manipulate a PDF, we use pdf-lib — a pure JavaScript library — running entirely in your browser.
There are no server calls for file processing. There is no analytics tied to your file content. We don't know what files you process, because we architecturally cannot — the processing never reaches our infrastructure.
The site itself is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS — deployed on a modern edge network for the fastest possible load times globally.
